José Fumero was born in Tenerife (Canary Islands) in March 19th, 1994. He practically started riding since he was born, as his family always had horses. 

His first pony arrived at the age of 3 and his first competition was two years later. He has always been really passionate about horses and nature. 

In 2009 he moved to Madrid, so he could combine his studies and riding.

He has a degree in law, and he now focus himself on riding

Jose currently lives in Madrid (SPA) and has plans to base himself in Belgium in the summer of 2019.

  • When he finished his University studies, he began to dedicate himself fully to equestrian.

  • Winner of the speed class 140 at CSI Madrid and 4th place in the 145 LR GP

  • Clear at the GP in Longines Global Champions Tour Madrid 11th place

  • Competed at CSIO La Baule (FRA)

  • Competed at the World Championship for young horses (with 5yo Corelli de Miesand 5yo GehaziaVdl). Placed in the final with Corelli de Mies.


  • He was placed top 3 several times at LR 145 class at CSI Mijas.

  • He competed at the European Championship for young riders in Lake Arena (Austria), he places 9 place individual 

  • He won the Princesa de Asturias for Young Riders.

  • He won the Spanish Championship for young riders

  • Gold Medal at the Final of University World Cup in Margburg (GER)


  • Gold Medal at the Young Riders Spanish Championship

  • 1st place GP young riders at CSIO Madrid (SPA)

  • He competed with the Senior Team at CSIO Lisboa(1.60m)

  • He competed at the Young Riders European Championship in Arezzo (ITA) 4th place with the Team and 13th place individual.


  • Bronze Medal at Spanish Championship Young Riders

He competed with the Spanish team at: 

  • CSIO young riders Madrid (SPA): Nations Cup, 2nd and GP, 3rd

  • CSIO young riders Deauville (FRA) GP 7th

  • He had his debut with the Spanish Senior Team at CSIO Lisboa (POR) 1.60m. 

  • He attended the European Championship Young Riders in Cadiz (SPA): Nations Cup 6th place.

  • Gold Medal in Madrid Championship Senior

  • Bronze Medal at the Princesa de Asturias for young riders

  • Placed 3rd in a 150 LR class at Sunshine Tour


  • Bronze Medal at Junior Spanish Championship and Bronze Medal with the Team 

  • He competed at International Shows with the Spanish Team: 

  • CSIO Wierdem (NED): Nations Cup 3rd place

  • CSIO Hagen (GER): Nations Cup and GP

  • He was selected for the European Championship in the Junior category (Magna Racino, Austria).

  • He competed at the World Championship for young horses in Lanaken(BEL) with his 7 yo mare Davinia R.

  • Silver Medal in Madrid Junior Championship


  • He was selected to represent Spain in the international shows in CSIO Reims (FRA), CSIO Wierden (NED), CSIO Madrid (SPA)

  • Gold Medal in Junior Spanish Championship and Bronze Medal with the Team

  • Hewas selected to represent Spain at the European Junior Championship in Comporta(POR)

  • Gold Medal in Madrid Junior Championship


  • Bronze medal at Junior Spanish Championship and Silver Medal with the team

He was selected for the Spanish team at international shows:
